DAY 1 WINDHOEK
On arrival Windhoek you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Safari court. Rest of the day is free to explore Windhoek city on your own.
DAY 2 WINDHOEK – ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK (B/D)
DAY 3 ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK (B/D)
Today you will spend exploring the wildlife to be found in the Etosha National Park, where you can hope to see four of the Big Five of African wildlife – the elephant, lion, leopard and rhino. We visit a number of waterholes to observe the wildlife. Etosha translated, means ‘The place of dry water’ and here we get our first view of the magnificent pan. The Etosha Pan is a vast, bare, open expanse of shimmering green and white that covers around 4800km², almost a quarter of the beautiful Etosha National Park. At 130 km’s long and up to 50km’s wide in places, it is comfortably the largest salt pan in Africa.
DAY 4 ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK (B/D)
After breakfast, we spend full day in Etosha’s unique desert landscape searching for amongst other animals, it’s large population of elephants and marvelling at its prolific bird life.
DAY 5 ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK – DAMARALAND (B/D)
Today we meet the Himba tribe people. The Himba people share a common ethnic origin with the Herero tribe, having split from the main Herero group in the Namibia / Botswana border region, and moved north-west to present-day Kaokoland in search of available land.
The Himba are a pastoral nomadic people and they totally depend on their herds of cattle and goats.
Spend time with these proud people, learning about their captivating heritage and special way of life. From the small settlement near Kamanjab, head via Khorixas, the capital of the Damaraland region to arrive at your lodge in the mid-afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at Damara Mopane Lodge
DAY 6 DAMARALAND (B/D)
Damaraland is one of the most scenic areas in Namibia, a huge, untamed, ruggedly beautiful region that offers the more traveller a more adventurous challenge. visit to the heritage site of Twyfelfontein to see painting created by bushmen more than 6000 years ago before exploring the the Burnt Mountain, Organ Pipes and the Petrified Forest. Afternoon is free for your own leisure.
DAY 7 DAMARALAND – SWAKOPMUND (B/D)
DAY 8 SWAKOPMUND (B/D)
After breakfast, the day is at your leisure to explore sights around Swakopmund,
Alternatively sample some of the activities available in the area, ranging from walking tours to dolphin cruises, and from scenic flights to quad biking.
DAY 9 SWAKOPMUND – SOSSUSVLEI (B/D)
After early breakfast, we departi Sossusvlei. The sand dunes of Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert are often referred to as the highest dunes in the world .On arrival check in at Sossusvlei Lodge, Then we visit Sesriem Canyon, a natural canyon carved into rock by the Tsauchub River.
The canyon derives its name from the fact that early Afrikaner trekkers had to use six (‘ses’) leather thongs (a thong is a ‘riem’) so that their buckets could reach the water far below. It is so deep and sheltered, it often holds water well into the dry season – an invigorating sight in such a barren and stark environment.
DAY 10 SOSSUSVLEI (B/D)
There will be the opportunity for an optional early morning ballooning, horse riding or quad biking.
