Thai cuisine is world-renowned for its flavour and colour, good use of spices and health benefits, but in the west, the cuisine is a little watered down. Try instead the simple but delicious Pad Krapow (one for the spice lovers), Tom yam kung nam Khon (the famous coconut milk and prawn soup) or Thot man (deep fried fish cakes), from one of Bangkok’s award winning restaurants or by the river in Chiang Mai.
