Jordan is full of ruins, but perhaps the most alluring are the Roman ruins, that can’t help but look a little out place surrounded by the vast red rocky desert. Travel to Jerash, which is a well-preserved Roman city full of roman columns, temples and colonnades, Um Qais to see the Roman ruins perched close to an abandoned Ottomanera village, and Amman to see the the Temple of Hercules and the Roman Theatre.
