Hong Kong is home to some 1000+ hiking trails. Follow the Lantau trail to the breathtaking 112-foot tall Tian Tan Buddha, which sits amongst lush greenery on the second highest peak in Hong Kong – Lantau Peak. Head West if you want to scale the largest peak – the awe-inspiring Victoria Peak – at the top – you will be afforded by some of the most incredible views available on the island.
Head to the scenic coves around the coastline to ride the waves that are sent towards Hong Kong’s sands from the typhoons roaring on in the South China Sea. Big Wave Bay is a perfect spot and is close to Sai Kung Country Park. If you’ve never surfed before – don’t worry, as there’s a surf school on the beach.
