Thailand is a wonderfully vivid country to explore, you can experience the chaotic streets of Bangkok, exploring a plethora of vivid temples such as the incredible Grand Palace, Wat Suthat and the majestic Wat Phra Kaew and then head to Siam Paragon in Siam for a decadent shopping experience in luxurious surrounds. To the north of the country you can immerse yourself in Thailand’s countryside, in the charming towns of Chiang Mai and Chaing Rai. Chiang Mai is especially beautiful with its mountain top temples and night market, while Chiang Rai is much smaller and it’s possible to explore the close by Chiangsean and Mekong rivers and the Golden Triangle – the place on the Mekong where the borders of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar converge, as well as the astounding modernist temple – Wat Rong Khun, with its entirely white visage and park filled with haunting depictions of death and rebirth in a myriad of different disciplines including sculptures of the Buddha, The Kinnon and even a sea of hands reaching from under the main bridge to the temple. To Thailand’s south, the beaches await, whether on the mainland in Pattaya, Phuket or on any one of the islands in the Gulf of Thailand.
